VP Nordic Brings Virtual Production Expertise to Dune: Awakening Livestream

VP Nordic is proud to have played a key role in the Dune: Awakening livestream hosted by VJUS in Oslo, Norway. This production, commissioned by Funcom, showcased the gameplay of the highly anticipated MMO, Dune: Awakening. As the Virtual Production (VP) supervisors, VP Nordic ensured the seamless integration of advanced VP technology, enhancing our role as trusted experts in virtual production across the Nordics. 

Virtual Production: Elevating Livestream Storytelling
For this livestream, our role as VP supervisors involved overseeing the design and operation of the virtual production environment. By leveraging Mo-Sys for real-time tracking, Blackmagic Ultimatte for keying, and Aximmetry together with Unreal Engine 5, we ensured a seamless and efficient workflow. It was especially fitting to use virtual production for Dune: Awakening, as the game itself is developed in the Unreal Engine 5, allowing us to integrate assets from the upcoming game directly into the production.
